JPEGTool
JPEGTools
JPEGTools is an archive containing a number of JPEG related binaries. A number of RISC OS applications make use of these various utilites, and the ones supplied here have been compiled up so as to work on the Iyonix PC.
These binaries will still work on non-Iyonix machines, but require the 32 bit Clib to be installed, which can be found on Quantum Softwares website.
  • cjpeg - Creates JPEG files from Targa
  • djpeg - Converts a JPEG file into a BMP, Sprite, GIF, OS2, PNM or Targa file.
  • jpegtran - Performs a number of translations to JPEG files, these include rotation, and flipping.
  • wrjpgcom - Allows you to add comments to JPEG files
  • rdjpgcom - Reads the comments from a JPEG file

MouseKey

MouseKey a keyboard mouse emulator.

A small 732 byte module which allows the mouse pointer and buttons to be controlled using the keyboard. The source code is included and the keys used can be adjusted and the code recompiled.

SmallRTV

SmallRTV a TV only front end to Irlam Instruments RiscTV card.

This is a beta release of SmallRTV. It has currently only been tested on my Risc PC SA machine. It is a 40K application that supports all the 40 channels, has volume control, audio and video controls (bass, brightness etc.)

BTTelnet is a simple command line telnet client that can be used for connecting to MUDs, Unix machines and other various telnet servers.

Also, if RComp's SecureSockets module is loaded, it will attempt to establish a secure (SSL) connection with the remote server, dropping back down to normal telnet if it fails.

DaytimeServer

DaytimeServer is a small module that provides a daytime server.

Any clients that connect to the daytime server port (13) are sent the local time of the machine the server is running on.

RiscX
RiscX

RiscX, an X server for RISC OS.

This is an alpha release of RiscX. An X server for RISC OS, allowing you to connect to remote machines and run the various X clients available.

This release only has support for 8 and 1 bpp displays.

RiscX now uses the latest version of UnixLib, and as such now requires the SharedUnixLibrary module to be present. A copy of this can be downloaded from

twm A window manager client for X. Provides window title bars to X clients so they can be moved around and resized.

xcalc A simple calculator.

VNCViewer
VNCViewer

VNCViewer, a VNC viewer for Risc OS.

Allows you (With an appropiate VNCServer) to display and use remote desktops on your Risc OS machine. Similar to using an XServer.

I've tested VNCViewer and VNCServe by running VNCServe on my Risc PC, and VNCViewer on my A5000 using PPP over a 19200 serial connection. A bit slow, but it works, and with the correct colours too :)

VNCInput
VNCInput

VNCInput, a VNC input only client for Risc OS.

Similar to VNCViewer above, but only sends mouse and keyboard events to the remote server. Useful when you have two computers side-by-side and don't wish to keep changing keyboards.

Input is switched when you move the mouse off the right hand side of the screen.
